TOAST\/TOASTING<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The definition of toasting varies from author to author and the actual meaning of toasting is \u201c an announcement that is done by the toastmaster. This announcement is done as soon as the sweet course is over and before the service of coffee. The tables should be cleared and the glasses filled with wine. No guest is permitted to smoke until the toast is over.<\/p>\n

Procedure for toasts at formal wedding\/banquets:<\/b><\/p>\n

There are two procedures of toasts practiced during the wedding functions:<\/p>\n

1st<\/sup> procedure:<\/b><\/p>\n

During the cake ceremony:<\/b><\/p>\n

The cake, which is a focal point, should be presented on a silver tray with a knife and kept ready for the newly wedded couple to cut.<\/p>\n

  2. Telegrams of wishes and congratulations are read out by the best man.<\/li>\n
