To extent the life of a brush, lacquer should be applied to the stock and handle with an oil can and allowed to harden when possible, brushes should be dried in the sun or open air.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>BROOMS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">These should be shaken free of dust. They should never be stored standing on their bristle or the bristles will bend out of shape, resulting in inefficient cleaning.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>DRY MOPS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mops should be shaken well after use at outdoors. The mop heads should be easily detachable so that they can be frequently washed in hot water with detergent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WET MOPS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mops should be taken outdoors after use and shaken well to remove excess moisture. Then the mops should be washed in the same way as dry mops. Detachable heads are easier to clean and maintain. The sponge head should be stored by hanging.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>VACUUM CLEANERS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Housekeeping staff need to be trained in the care and maintenance of the machines.
